I was recently asked by the great people at InMyBag to feature the gear and equipment that I use. I spilled all the juicy secrets over on InMyBag.net today! Below is a snap of my favorites,  including my Contax645 and Nikon F100. This image was photographed by my favorite digital camera, Nikon D800. My favorite lenses (currently) are Nikon 50mm 1.4 and 70-200mm  f2.8. Yes, I am a hybrid shooter, combining the best of the digital and film world :)

P.S. I grew those peonies  myself!

FujiFilm Instax Love

I have been on a kick this past year to print my work. We rely too much on our phones and tablets to take images on the go. Instead of printing and enjoying these images they just sit there.  At a wedding this fall, my bride whipped out one of these bad boys to use for her guest book. I, of course, had to test it out. When I was younger, my grandpa had an old clunky Polaroid and I love it. I am so into instant gratification. I went home and raved about it to Nick. He asked if another camera was necessary. I explained that cameras are like puppies, you can never have too many. The evening of Christmas when we returned home from all of our family festivities, I saw it nestled under the Christmas tree :)

It is called a Fujifilm Instax Mini 7S. It has turned out to be my favorite Christmas gift. They have other sizes, but I like the minis. If you like to take pictures or know someone who does this is the gift for them. It is a new twist on an old classic. I love how vintage the images look. They come in all sorts of cute colors and you can even get film in an assortment of colors and designs. The best part is you can get one for less than $100. Keep in mind, you have to buy film. They are perfect to take on the go and make a cute and fun option at any wedding. I am planning on making a large art piece for our home once we take more images. I will be sure to share. Happy shooting and print your work!
