I just can’t say enough about this sweet couple. Congrats Sarah and Codi! I am always a little sad when weddings are over; but I am so happy these two get to spend the rest of their lives together. I have gotten to know Sarah and Codi over the last several months and they are absolutely wonderful people. I wish them a long and happy life together.

When I first started chatting with Sarah about their day, I fell in love with her little white church wedding. I am so happy they had has photograph and film their wedding! You can also see their highlight film below! They held their ceremony in a small country church right outside of town surrounded by family and close friends. I can’t get over how beautiful all the floral decorations were….swoon! Sarah added so many personal touches to her wedding day.I loved her fur shrug that was fastened by her Grandma’s broche. Codi and Sarah opted for a first look, Codi seemed very happy with his gift :) After the wedding, were took some shots in Sarah’s Dads car. It was a neat classic car!

They held their reception at the family farm. We were able to walk around the farm and catch the sun going down for the evening. I love this time of the year. They toasted, danced, and socialized with their guests. It was a good time had by all! Thank you for allowing us to be a part of your day! Congrats Mr & Mrs Montgomery.

Spring is definitely one of my favorite times of the year. I am always antsy to get out and shoot in the beautiful cool weather. This year, I have been blessed with several spring weddings! I am so excited this season is packed full with amazing couples. My first wedding of 2014 was Jessica and Dave’s. Their wedding day was wonderful. It was extra special that they included Natalie, their daughter, into all the festivities to signify the beginning of their new family. We started the day at Jessica and Dave’s new home. I love shooting getting ready photos in a couples home. We get to include unique and personal elements in the getting ready photos, not to mention everyone has a laid back vibe. The girls always hurry around to finalize their hair and make-up, while the guys enjoy a basketball game and drink a beer. Typical :)

Jessica and Dave held their ceremony and reception at the Oak Meadow Country Club in Rolla, Missouri. They had their first look on the golf course. Natalie joined us for some family photos and to also show off her dress! Dave sure does have two pretty ladies in his life! After their ceremony, the were congratulated by all their friends and family. They toasted and danced for their first time together. The remainder of the evening was spent jamming to their live band, Alderwood. It was so fun to watch all the kiddos dance the night away. Congrats Jessica and Dave, thanks for allowing me to be apart of your day!

There nothing that makes me more happy than photographing a wedding that is a true representation of a couple. Couples that blend their personality and style into their wedding day is one of my favorites to capture. Larkin and Emily are such an awesome couple. After their engagement session last year I went home telling my husband how fun their were. Emily is a saucy and energetic. I am really sad their wedding is over as I enjoyed the various emails we sent back and forth to each other over this year. Emily is a spitfire and totally cracks me up. She believes that you shouldn’t leave your house for the day without wearing something in leopard print. Emily, can we be BFF’s?

The two met and started dating years ago through school. They planned their entire wedding while living in another country! We started their day in Rocheport at the Mount Nebo Cottage. The girls got ready in the cottage while the guys were down the street in a cabin. I love this sweet little town, everything is in walking distance. One of Emily’s details that I adored was her bouquets. There were all handmade paper flowers! Her friend Lili Johnstone, the owner of D’fy,crafted all these sweet arrangements. I thought it was such a unique touch. She also made all the centerpieces for the reception. Emily’s dress was from a company called The Brides Project. When she was telling me about her dress I thought this was a neat concept. The Bride Project sells donated dresses and gives the profits to cancer charities.

Larkin and Emily did their first look at the cottage and then strolled along the Katy Trail for some shots together. We headed to their ceremony and reception venue Les Bourgeois Winery. They were married on the hill top that over looks the Missouri River. It is an amazing location and especially beautiful at sunset. Their reception was loads of fun complete with toasting, pie, a photobooth, and lots of dancing! Congrats Emily and Larkin, so happy you allowed me to be a part of your beautiful wedding!

This year has went by too fast. My 2013 wedding season has came to an end for the year. The fall season has been so beautiful! I am thankful for all the colors that stayed longer than usual. There isn’t a better couple I would have chosen to close out the season than Alyson and Michael. They are a super fun couple, and I had no doubt their wedding would beautiful. They decide to have a small wedding at Michael’s parents home. Their home is tucked away in the country and has beautiful views for miles. They said their I Do’s in the front yard. It was small, sweet, and perfect.

After the ceremony, they held a toast with their guests to ring in the their new marriage. Close friends and family were able to congratulate the new couple. As guests headed to the reception, I was able to spend some one on one time with the new Mr & Mrs’s. The photo opportunities at their farm were endless. We couldn’t have asked for a more perfect day.

They held their reception at Matt’s Steakhouse. They were several sweet and funny speeches made by the best man and maid/matron of honor. Dinner and dancing followed. Let me tell you the Cowan’s are good dancers! I was so happy to be apart of this wedding day. It is wonderful to shoot weddings from my hometown and see so many familiar faces. This wedding is a special one for me. I grew up with that goofy blonde hair kid, Brandon, but for for as long as I can remember we called him Mook. He is one of my cousins. We lived down the road from each other for most of our lives. I remember hanging out at their house several times a week and vice versa. Mook never missed a warm meal my mother cooked. I was thankful when Mook’s little brother Bubba came along. He took alot of the heat off of me, being I was the second youngest and the only girl around. I have always thought of them as brothers. I have the scars to prove it. That trampoline provided hours of fun, but I can remember Matt and Mook throwing Bubba and I off at least a couples times ;) Mook is one of the first of my cousins on the Cunningham side of the family to get married. Funny, I never thought he would be the first to get married until I met Sara.

Sara is sweet and kind, maybe a little shy when I first met her. Her sweet personality reminds me so much of my Aunt Janice, whom I adore. After about a year of dating, I knew they were going to get married. She was different to him. They clicked. I also think they kinda look alike and that is one of my “signs” for people who belong together. I know that sounds silly!

On a rainy day in October, they said “I Do” at the family farm surrounded by family and friends. In true Cunningham fashion, there were lots of laughs and jokes to go around all evening. Uncle D also had to drag out the backhoe for who knows what. Every time I go out there is running some type of heavy machinery.

That evening we danced and celebrated to an awesome band from Nashville. It was great to be around the family! There were also people I haven’t seen since high school, it is always great catch up. I am very thankful for Taisia Gordon who assisted and second shot with me so I could enjoy this day like the rest of my family. So, I kind of like family weddings, who’s next boys?!
