I can’t say enough great things about Sheniqua and Eric; I wish them many years of love and happiness together. It was such an honor to be apart of their wedding day and witness the love and support from their family and friends as they officially became Mr & Mrs Flinn. I knew their wedding was going to be gorgeous and I couldn’t wait to see all their ideas and great style come to life. Their love story is one of my favorite, they met in college in Missouri and fell in love while studying abroad. Ever since that summer in Europe they have stayed by each others side. After a few moves, they landed and planted roots in Chicago.

Their wedding was divine, every detail planned out perfectly for an intimate affair. I am still dreaming about the gorgeous florals with silk ribbon and vintage postage that adorn their invitations. Also, if you decide to put a head of cabbage in your wedding bouquet that automatically makes us best friends :)

They were married at one of the intricately designed pavilions in Tower Grove Park, the Music Stand, and held their reception at the Piper Palm House. Since they were coming in from out of town, they opted to rent a cute little home off Airb&b for the bride and her girls to get ready. It was darling! Prior to the ceremony Eric and Sheniqua had a “first look” and we wondered around the park for some pre-ceremony photos. Their ceremony was held at dusk, and the two exchanged handwritten vows and wedding bands under the glow of the moon. After dinner was served, their reception was quite the party! Nothing completes a wedding day without a few sparkler photos! Congrats Mr and Mrs Flinn I can’t wait to see where this life takes you! XOXO

Congrats Jay and Kayla! I have so much to say about these two, they are an amazing couple. Jay contacted me last year when he was planning on proposing to Kayla. This wasn’t your normal proposal, he proposed mid-flight when Kayla thought their plane was having engine failure. To see more of this story click here . She is one brave women! After she said yes, they started planning a one of a kind wedding in Jefferson City, Missouri.

Jay and Kayla both work at the Capitol and they were given the exclusive privilege to get married in the Senate Mezzanine. The Mezzanine looks over the floor of the Senate and is framed by large marble columns. They are the first couple to get married in Mezzanine and possibly the last. After their ceremony, guests gathered at The Millbottom for the reception. Jay and Kayla were also one of the first couples to hold their reception at this new swanky event space in Jefferson City. I was so excited to photograph at this location; I do love some exposed brick. Guests enjoyed toasts and dinner before the official party started. Jay and Kayla opted to have dueling pianos for their entertainment that evening, it was a fun night for all!

This wedding was perfect in so many ways, everything I love about weddings was wrapped up in this day. Matt and Krystal are an amazing couple and are going to do great things in their marriage. These two love each, love God, and have an awesome close knit group of friends and family. I can’t wait to see where this life will take them!

The two were married at the lake home in Bennington, Nebraska that Krystal’s family owns. It was an amazing venue for a wedding and had many beautiful locations for pictures. Their ceremony was held outside on the lawn and their reception was also outside on the patio that overlooked Bennington Lake. The day was relaxed and chill while the bride and groom got ready in separate wings of the home. One thing I loved about this wedding was that Krystal went barefoot. A simple anklet was all she wore; love the simplicity. Matt and Krystal wrote their own vows and their ceremony was beautiful and perfect.

Towards the evening the sun peeked out of the clouds for some sunset photos. After the ceremony guests enjoyed dinner as the sun went down and several funny and heartfelt toasts from friends and family. After night fall, the party moved down to the boat house on the lake for a live band and dancing! We lucked out meeting a neighbor who was out for an evening pontoon ride. We were able to take a boat ride with them to get some neat shots of the venue after dark.

Mr & Mrs Vick – Holden Beach, North Carolina

Last month was a whirlwind, we shot three weddings in three different states within eight days! It was a fun time for Nick and I traveling cross country and working with some great people. I have been super excited to share this wedding, Congrats Karen and Tony! When Karen and I started talking last year about their small elopement wedding at Holden Beach, I couldn’t wait for the day to arrive. Karen has a knack for decorating and style, I loved the vintage and coastal elements she included in their wedding day. I am now a believer that everyone should rent a beach house, pack it full with friends and family, and have a low key ceremony. It was a fun day and trip for everyone! Who doesn’t love the beach!?

The night before the wedding we met Karen and Tony out at the old nostalgic pier in Holden Beach for some fun pre-wedding pictures. We started the wedding day at the beach house where Karen, Tony, and all their family and friends were staying. Yes, it was a huge beach house! This location was at the very end of the coast on Holden Beach. The beaches were long, it felt like a mile out to the shoreline. The area was very private and almost deserted that time of the year. It was the perfect location for a low key ceremony. The whole day was chill, it was the calmest wedding I have ever photographed. The party got ready while some of the family prepared the shrimp boil for dinner that night. Karen and Tony said their vows on the beach while the sunset below the horizon. It was beautiful and something I hope they will remember for the rest of their lives.

After the ceremony, the family and new Mr & Mrs Vick hung out at the beach house and reminisced on old memories. The party didn’t stop there, we also photographed their reception at Camp Bob White back home in Knob Noster, Missouri. Dustin & Madeleine Rolla, Missouri Engagement Session

I am not sure I could picture a more perfect engagement session for Dustin and Madeleine. These two, I just love them! I worked with Madeleine’s brother and sister in law a few years ago and got to know her family. They are wonderful people, and I am so honored to photograph Madeleine and Dustin’s wedding later this fall! The best part of my job is working with people like these two :)

I just knew this session was going to be amazing. Madeleine has great style and her idea of a tulle skirt had me swooning from the get go. I love how she had a vision of something different for their engagement pictures, it is so refreshing as a photographer. Our shoot could be summed up as stomping in the creek bottoms, barefoot, drenched in the golden sunset. A way to my heart… They also brought along their fur baby, Bear, he was quite swimmer during out shoot! Madeleine arranged for her florist she is using for the wedding, Blossom Basket, to create a sample bouquet for the engagement shoot. It was gorgeous, a sure sign of beautiful things to come in November :) Can’t wait to work with you love birds again, Congrats!
