Mr & Mrs Littrell, Wedding Day Simmons Stables Mexico, Missouri

Weddings 7 . 23 . 19

An enormous CONGRATS to Clayton and Courtney! I knew this was going to be a joy-filled day and it did not disappoint. I can’t pinpoint the best part of the day…. Sweet letters and gifts, excited friends and family, best first look ever, happy tears, sweet toasts, choreographed father/daughter dance….It was all perfect! Also, Courtney,  she was a vision. The epitome of a classic bride. She is also a very talented lady, she did her own invitations and arranged all of the bouquets!

The girls started off at The Strand Salon for hair and make-up before making their way to the Newman Center for their ceremony. Once everyone was dressed and ready, Clayton and Courtney exchanged sweet notes and gifts before their first look. We went to Mizzou campus for their first look. It was one of the best ever, Clayton’s expression was priceless! After their ceremony, everyone went to Mexico for the reception. Simmon’s Stables has rich history in the community and Clayton’s mom was part of the preservation team to restore it back to its original glory. It was a neat location for the reception and held strong meaning for the family.

I am so happy for these two as they start their lives together, thanks for allowing me to be apart of this wonderful day. I am beyond happy to have met this sweet couple and wish them all life’s greatest blessings!

Mr & Mrs Bax – Vintage Barn Wedding Jefferson City, Missouri

Weddings 7 . 11 . 19

Congrats to David & Sydney! It was so awesome to photograph this beautiful wedding day with such a sweet couple. It was a joyful day for family and friends! I knew from the moment I met Sydney their wedding would be a blast! She was laid back and simply excited to start their next chapter together. Also, can we say COLOR! I love pastels and neutrals, but I am loving the bright orange in this wedding! I hope to see more color in 2019!

Their ceremony was held at Immaculate Conception Church in Jefferson City,  Missouri and their reception was held at the bride’s family farm. After the ceremony, the couple and bridal party made their way over to Bar Vino for a few celebration drinks before heading to the reception.

They used multi-colored florals and decorated with clementines throughout their wedding day.  Sydney’s dress was so unique and fun to photograph, it was perfect for her rustic outdoor reception. There was a old barn on the property that Sydney’s parent’s renovated into the perfect wedding reception venue. Dancing, lots of laughs, and a few tears made this day overwhelming perfect. Oh, and an amazing sunset!

I am ecstatic for these two to share their life together and appreciative of the opportunity to be apart of a wonderful day. Much love and many blessings to the Bax family!

Mr & Mrs Kirchgessner – Blue Bell Farm Fayette, Missouri

Weddings 6 . 28 . 19

Oh, how I love these two. I knew the first time I met them that they were going to be an awesome couple to work with. They have something special…. faith, family, and amazing friends! Their marriage will no doubt have many blessings. I should definitely mention the pup of honor, Ash. He is Craig’s dog and a very loyal companion. Craig’s only request was that we get Ash into as many photos as possible. It was quite easy since he never left the groom’s side! As you look through these photos, you will see a cute little grey pup in most photos!

I was so excited to get back out to Blue Bell Farm, one of my favorite venues in the mid-Missouri area! I love farm life and Blue Bell has a quaint, historic, and peaceful setting. I also spend way too much time trying to get their free roaming chickens and ducks in my photos :)

April got ready in the newly finished cottage located just outside of the barn. It is darling with many nice finishes. Their ceremony was held on the back deck that overlooks the lake. After the ceremony, guests enjoyed yard games, roaming the farm, and of course dinner. Storm clouds rolled in a right as we were finishing up portraits before Craig and April left for the evening. The two made a fast dash at sunset to head out on their first date as a married couple. Congrats to April & Craig, a pleasure to work with you and your family.

Mr & Mrs McFerron – Reyakjavik, Iceland

Weddings 3 . 7 . 19

I have this camera and gift to thank for meeting incredible people and traveling the globe. I met Missy through a referral group a couple years ago, she is the owner of Dogwood Social, Jeff City Blog, as well as the new Campus Coworking Space. She is go getter and I admire her tenacity. Missy and Joe briefly talked about getting married locally and then toyed with the idea of elopement. This elopement wasn’t your average destination, Iceland! The unique part about all of it, they hired a travel company, Jubel, who arranged everything without their knowledge. They didn’t choose the country, location, ceremony site, flowers, etc! The two are very laid back and they decided their marriage would be a surprise adventure and left the details to an expert. In my many years of photographing weddings, this idea was fresh and fun and I was more than excited to photograph this sweet couple and their adventure.

They were married on November 13th in Iceland. Luckily, the temperatures were very mild and similar to what we were experiencing in Missouri as far as weather goes. Iceland is incredible! Lots of amazing natural wonders to see and plenty of adventures to pursue. Their wedding ceremony was at the Porufuss Waterfall. If it looks familiar, it was a filming location in season 7 of Game of Thrones. The great part, it is off the beaten path of the Golden Circle (the tourist route), and a beautiful private spot about 30 minutes from the city. Their officiant was local to Reykjavik and gave a beautiful ceremony with a few Icelandic traditions. Can we talk about that red dress and how perfect it was <3. After their ceremony, we went back to Reykjavik to visit the Harpa, it is a beautiful building made of out glass downtown. We utilized the indoor locations to warm up from the ceremony!

The next day, Joe and Missy set out on their honeymoon adventure also coordinated by Jubel. The two toured the southern parts of Iceland and other great attractions. Their marriage adventure will not be one for them to forget, I think it will be amazing for them to tell future children and grandchildren their story. Congrats Missy & Joe! Thank you for the opportunity to work with you and witness your gorgeous wedding day!

Mr & Mrs Eiken – Kempker’s Back 40 Jefferson City, Missouri

Weddings 2 . 1 . 19

Best. Day. Ever. The best part about this wedding was that I got to meet Katie and Jared, whom I adore. This intimate ceremony and backyard reception was the best, I think every guest who attended is still talking about how amazing this day was. I can honestly say, I have never laughed so hard while documenting a wedding (Katie is a spicy lady), I felt like part of the family all day and I love the fun moments I can document when there is that comfort level. I appreciate a wedding that is totally centered around the couple and what they want. Also, a bride that wants photos with donkeys, goats, and all the furry things is up my alley! This day was pure fun and joy for all, one I will never forget. Congratulations Mr & Mrs Eiken, so happy to be apart of your first chapter. XOXO
