Nisha and her mom were awesome to work with, I loved learning about their culture! Nisha is a beauty and very much a natural in front of the camera. I loved the Indian outfit she brought along for her pictures, it was a breath of fresh air to do something new and different. Congrats on your senior year Nisha, best wishes at college next year!
This blue eyed beauty was such a joy to work with! Riley is beautiful inside and out, I had a wonderful time getting to know her and her family. We started our shoot downtown Columbia and then headed out to her grandparents home. Her grandpa built a gorgeous covered bridge close to where they live, it is a wonderful keepsake to remember him by. Riley also had her childhood pup, Ging, come along for some pictures. He is just the cutest! Congrats on your senior year Riley, can’t wait to see all the big things you will do in this life!
I love lifestyle portraits, I was so happy to work with this family who wanted something sweet and simple to remember this special time in their lives. I photographed this session in their home, Jack’s nursery is adorable. Kerri and Brian sure do love their little Jack, he was such a trooper for his first photo-session. It is finally spring, I am so excited for warmer weather and all the gorgeous shoots and weddings! I had an amazing time working with Emma and Johnny on their maternity session. John Henry is going to have two very awesome parents that love him dearly. Emma is the owner of E. Clare Vintage and had a vision for her maternity shoot. They brought along a gorgeous Victorian blue sofa and a sweet floral crown made by Kent’s Florals in Columbia, Mo. I couldn’t have had more fun with these two, Congrats on your little boy!
The long awaited Sole Hope video from our travels this Fall to Uganda is finally completed. It is a bittersweet moment. I am thrilled to share Uganda and Sole Hope through our eyes, but sad that this amazing experience is over. Nick, myself, and a team of advocates traveled across the world to the red dirt roads of Jinja with minimal video equipment, deep into the heart of the villages, where extreme poverty exists. Watching this video brings back so many good memories of the beautiful people we met in Uganda, but it is a constant reminder of the pain and poverty of those who live there and the struggle to survive everyday. The video is raw, you will see graphic images of jigger removal. We felt this footage was important as it shows what is actually happening everyday at Sole Hope. I hope that you watch this video and not only see how Sole Hope is improving the lives of those affected by jiggers, but see how fortunate and blessed you are to live in the US.
