You may remember these two from Devin’s crazy romantic proposal we photographed on 4th of July! You have a good one, Morgan, hang on to him :) I simply adore these two, I have had the privilege to get to know both of them over the past year and I can’t wait to see what life has in store for this little family. Morgan knew about this location of Lilly pads and it made for a perfect spot for their engagement pictures. After shooting at the lake, we headed back to her parents house to get a few pictures with their sweet pup, Maizee. My other talents include dog whispering ;) If you get engaged on July 4th, it only makes sense to get some photos with sparklers! Can’t wait for June!

She Said Yes! – 4th of July Proposal

This proposal has been in the making for over 6 months. Devin contacted me last year with plans of proposing to his girlfriend, Morgan, on 4th of July. The 4th of July is Morgan’s favorite holiday so Devin was carefully planning the big day. Shortly after Devin contacted me, I became friends with Morgan and she started shooting with me. It was hard to keep this secret from her for so long! Devin roped off the perfect spot for his proposal on the front steps of the Supreme Court building downtown Jeff City. It was a beautiful view of the firework display. Morgan was busy snapping pictures of the fireworks, Devin pulled her aside for a big surprise. All of their family was also sitting in the area so they could watch the action unfold. So happy this worked out perfectly, Congrats to Devin and Morgan!
