Congrats to Mr & Mrs Shewmaker! Nick and I had the opportunity to film Jeremy and Becca’s wedding in January; we kicked off wedding season early this year! Their wedding and reception was held at the Tiger Hotel in Columbia, Missouri. The weather was threatening snow and ice, but it only flurried all day, for that we were thankful. They both attend Mizzou so they did their first look on campus along with several of their pictures. Jeremy & Becca had quite the party that evening, as you will see in the video, everyone was dancing and enjoying themselves. We loved being a part of your wedding day, best wishes for a long happy life!

I had the opportunity to photograph this sweet proposal during Mizzou’s Homecoming! Mark and Mary are friends with one of my 2015 couples, Lynette and Ted. I started chatting with Mark this summer about his plans to propose to Mary during their stay in Columbia this Fall. Mark had a paver engraved on Mizzou’s Traditions Plaza asking Mary to marry him. I can’t believe that they all kept it a secret for so long! Lynette was instrumental in keeping Mary busy that day while Mark finalized all the plans. She even made sure Mary had a manicure before the proposal! I hid behind the wall on the plaza waiting for them to walk up that evening. Mary looked around for a few minutes and then walked off. Luckily, Mark called her back to the spot where the paver was located. She saw it and finally realized what was going on! She was so shocked and surprised! I think she is one of the happiest people in the world now that she gets to marry her best friend after all these years.
